ONCE UPON A TIME...

Is a real fairy tale that takes place in the 21st century.

It all begins with a Walt Disney animated cartoon:
In a wonderful burg, a prince (Prince Edward) is looking for his princess (Giselle).
But the thing is that if he ever wed his princess, his mother (the former queen), would be dethroned.
And here is the deal, as in all the Walt Disney animations, the stepmother; an ugly old woman decides to do all she can to separate Prince Edward and Giselle, the princess to be. And the best trick she finds the most useful to her cause, is to send Giselle in New York City in 2007 !
In the real word, the once animated cartoons are transformed into human beings, and the movie begins to resemble a real movie.
In the real world, Giselle keeps thinking about the « true love kiss » and is persuaded that her prince, Edward, will rescue her from this grimy, noisy world.
And he eventually does, but at the same time, Giselle realizes that, in NYC she found her true love…a real human being from a real world…

What I thought about it :
This film is a really good movie which targets adults who would like to keep a little fantasy in their life. This Walt Disney is a mix between Cinderella, King Kong, the Snow White and the 7 dwarfs, Sleepi,ng Beauty and Shreck…The story is a little bit utopian because love is triumphing as in all Walt Disney. But is it truly the real life?
This movie could also seduce all the music hall addict thanks to the songs that we discover during the movie!
So, to conclude, every one needs to believe that dreams can come true, but at the end of the movie, it’s kind of sad to realize that, you grow up and this story will never happen in your life!

Death Proof

For the release of the dvd of Tarentino movie "Death Proof" in Amsterdam.
"New Message" agency put on the sidewalk in front of the biggest cinema in the town:
A Human Arm with the DVD in il's hand.

This is very shocking and bloody, but it works with the violent ambiance of the movie.

A very good and pertinent idea :-)

Stop wailing Now

Hye,
I'm here to get all the post refers to street and guerilla marketing...
Today I'm going to talk about poster's campaign.

The international fund for animal welfare just built an advertising operation. The name of the campain is "STOP WAILING NOW".
They put pictures of a dead whale on all the city walls, it's guts spilling onto the ground.
I hope that this shocking campaign will change the public mentality.

SMART FASHION

In this first post, I would like to clarify the tone of this part that I named Smart Fashion.
We (by “we” I mean women) are all crazy about luxury fashion brands such as Chanel, Dior, Vuitton, Saint-Laurent, Gaultier (that is for French brands) Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Cavalli and so many others.

But when it comes to buying these brands, the problem is for a large majority of us… the price. That’s why in this blog I am going to share with you all the goods spots where you can buy luxury fashion brands at 30, 50 and sometimes 75% discount. Some of you might respond to this that there is Ebay. Of course, Ebay is a great way to buy fashion brands at a good price. Nevertheless, you are never sure the product is authentic and sometimes the clothes don’t fit you.

Another aim of this blog is to give some advice so that you can look like you are wearing luxury brands with clothes bought in ready-to-wear stores like Gap, Benetton, Xanaka, Zara, H&M or Mango. Indeed, sometimes the prices of clothes bought in discount stores are still a bit expensive. Besides, most of the ready-to-wear stores are inspired by big brands, so it is easy to find clothes that look like the ones designed by luxury brands. I concede that the quality is not the same but you can still make an impression.

Reciproque, a heaven for fashionable women
The first spot I want to talk about is a discount store called Reciproque. Located in the very chic 16th district of Paris at rue de la Pompe, this discount store of 700 m² is dedicated to second hand luxury brand clothes.

Whatever brands, whatever clothes or accessorizes you are looking for, be sure you will find something in Reciproque. Handbags, shoes, belts, sunglasses, dresses, jackets, jeans, shirts, skirts, coats… at a wide range of prices (from 50 to 1000€ and more). The clothes are really well cut and most of them are made of precious material such as silk, cashmere, wool and even leather.

The only negative thing in Reciproque is that it is difficult to find small sizes. If you are a size 2 or 0 it will definitely be a problem to find clothes that fit you. Never mind, you can still go in the store to see the bag and the wonderful collection of shoes and boots.

Japan

As for me, I will tell you about Japan and principally of Tokyo, its capital. In this blog, you will find the practical advice you will need it every you go there.

A megalopolis without a centre…

The beauty of traditional Japan which rub shoulders with modern Japan. Tokyo, the biggest city of Japan, is inhabited by about 13 million inhabitants, to which it is necessary to add another 10 million persons who come every day, to work in it or follow their activities. Indeed, the crowd is one of the most striking aspects of the Japanese capital, particularly in underground stations during peak hours.
The other typical feature of Tokyo is this surprising mixture between the ultramodern architecture of buildings, on the great avenues, and traditional architecture of the Japanese houses at the back of main streets.
This coexistence between western and eastern symbols gives Tokyo this special charm that the foreign visitor discovers as they advance in the town.
There is not a "town centre" as in European capitals; several centres make up Tokyo. About ten districts form the liveliest part of the Japanese capital.
Every centre is composed of a multitude of inhabitants' communities which forms a homogeneous population.
There is not one but many "Tokyos" that will be necessary to visit!
