ONCE UPON A TIME...

Is a real fairy tale that takes place in the 21st century.

It all begins with a Walt Disney animated cartoon:
In a wonderful burg, a prince (Prince Edward) is looking for his princess (Giselle).
But the thing is that if he ever wed his princess, his mother (the former queen), would be dethroned.
And here is the deal, as in all the Walt Disney animations, the stepmother; an ugly old woman decides to do all she can to separate Prince Edward and Giselle, the princess to be. And the best trick she finds the most useful to her cause, is to send Giselle in New York City in 2007 !
In the real word, the once animated cartoons are transformed into human beings, and the movie begins to resemble a real movie.
In the real world, Giselle keeps thinking about the « true love kiss » and is persuaded that her prince, Edward, will rescue her from this grimy, noisy world.
And he eventually does, but at the same time, Giselle realizes that, in NYC she found her true love…a real human being from a real world…

What I thought about it :
This film is a really good movie which targets adults who would like to keep a little fantasy in their life. This Walt Disney is a mix between Cinderella, King Kong, the Snow White and the 7 dwarfs, Sleepi,ng Beauty and Shreck…The story is a little bit utopian because love is triumphing as in all Walt Disney. But is it truly the real life?
This movie could also seduce all the music hall addict thanks to the songs that we discover during the movie!
So, to conclude, every one needs to believe that dreams can come true, but at the end of the movie, it’s kind of sad to realize that, you grow up and this story will never happen in your life!
