Favourite actress
This year, Katherine Heigl who interpretes Izzie Steven in Grey’s Anatomy, has obtained most vote of the public.

Favourite actor
Patrick Dempsey continues to conquer the heart of the Americans ! As the last year, the actor who plays « the Doctor Mamour » in Grey’s Anatomy is the favourite comedian of series.


Favourite dramatic series
In 2006, Americans had voted for Grey Anatomy... In 2007, their favourite dramatic series is also a medical series... But of another kind! Dr House is the big winner of this category.

Favourite funny series
« Two and a half men» is certainly the funniest series of the American public. In 2006 and 2007, the series of Charlie Sheen have won the same reward.

New favourite dramatic series
This year, the new series which has received the honors of the public is « Moonlight ». This series speaks about the adventures of a vampire detective.

Carrie and her friend Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte prepare actively their reunion.

Plan nothing on May 30th, 2008 ! This day arrive on the French screens the adaptation of the famous series Sex and the City. This movie is filming since in the middle of September with Michael Patric King as director. Strike of the US scriptwriters


It is a disaster besides the Atlantic Ocean ! Scriptwriters of cinema and television strike since November 5th. American series are in danger...

The anger of the scriptwriters and negotiations failure start to disturb the viewer. This movement can prolonge during several weeks or several months again. The consequences are dramatic : the third season of « Prison Break » has stoped in the thirteenth episode (instead of twenty) and the second season of "Heroes" count only 9 episodes. Many other successful series are victims of scriptwriters revolt. This strike also means the probably death of new series which had no necessary time to generate audience (Example : "Cavemen").

The Madonna – Live Nation Deal

It’s official.
Madonna is leaving Warner Music Group in favor of Live Nation in a long rumored landmark deal said to be worth $ 120 millions.
Madonna would receive a mix of cash and stock and give Live Nation the rights to sell three studio albums, promote concert tours, sell merchandise and license her name.

The Live Nation deal is similar to recent pacts in which recording artists create partnerships that share in music and concert ticket revenue.
Warner Music Group only makes money from Madonna's recorded music sales.

It would be the first entry into recorded music for Live Nation, the world's largest concert promoter. Intriguingly, Madonna would be the first of her early '80s superstar peers to step outside the label system to continue making recordings.
For artists, it’s good news, as it only adds to the ever-growing number of ways in which they can make a living, whether via the traditional recording labels, live events companies such as Live Nation, or even by going direct, like Radiohead.

NEW SALES FIGURE

Hi fans of music!
For my part, I will try to inform you about what’s new in music, especially from a marketing point of view.

Radiohead generated a firestorm of publicity when it announced that it was making its new album, In Rainbows, available from October 10th , for download at whatever price fans were willing to pay, starting from 0.1 cent!

Everyone could fix his price and download the album, in MP3 format, 160k/s, without DRM. A special luxury edition box was also sold on the website (available from the 4th of December).The album will come out the 31st of December.
For many years, Radiohead has outmanoeuvered marketing and already experimented within the music industry. From anti-videoclips to charity messages, they were able to set their vision of a popular music band, playing with the communication codes to better serve their views.
Today they do it again with the sale of their latest album, In Rainbows.
Within the debate between major labels and illegal downloads, Radiohead offers another smart direction, based on their fans’ loyalty. A totally new approach, especially knowing it’s probable this album will never come out, the band having broken every contractual relationship they never had with a label.
It is an interesting approach for the music business model, and for what users think is a fair pricing.

In our society to be healthy is a priority,there is a cult of the healthy life and a big fear of illness, but what happen when you get sick ? I mean really sick.The first reaction is to talk about your disease with your friends, your famillly, but can they really understand what you live everyday ?
on the other hand, the social network website are growing every day, creating new ideas on the web.
A few start up such as Gencash propose the first social network, where the principal subject is your disease, on this website you can meet people who have the same problems and symptomes as you.The major goal is to break the loneliness and to help sick people to exchange feelings and information about their everyday problems.This website only exist in the USA, and their business plan are not found.
But we can think that is a good opportuniy for the pharmaceutical industry adds (legislation alow them to make advertising on drugs in USA).

don't drink and drive !!

Three weeks ago in a London station...
In order to show the isolating consequences of being caught drunk driving . Leo Burnett London trapped an actual convicted drunk driver under a giant upturned pint glass.

The pint glass toured city centres across the country, receiving much coverage in the national press and on national television.

I think the campaign could have a good impact on people.
The visual shows that we are manipulated by alcohol, and not the way around. We are not stronger than alcohol, we could lose more than win when we drink beer.People drink to be happy to feel free, but in fact we become a prisoner to alcohol.

Kinder's birthday

The brand Kinder celebrate its thirty years of existence through an online campaign. This viral operation lays on the axis of the "smile" and the symbolic signature on the produced packaging: the smiling angelic face of the small fair-haired man.

The principal question is the credibility of a ferro's brand (Kinder) on this subject (the smile) because this creative positionwas already occupied by the dental brands such as ...


Kinder set up a game around a participate process : a competition photo. Moroever, the aim of this game for the target is to voting for " the most beautiful smile " and so allowing the winner to be the new effigy of the mark on products.

Finally, this campaign isn't original in the subject but this type of process permite to create a buzz and a visibility.

Once upon a time...


Let’s start with the first movie that I want to talk about: “Once upon a time”. The title is the perfect introduction for my review. Before that, I have to confess that I looooove Walt Disney so nobody will be surprised if I say that I loved this movie. The first five minutes made me a little bit worried. It’s a real caricature of Disney’s cartoons but further on in the movie, we understand that it is a really funny and romantic movie with a lot of dreams. It’s a beautiful love story in a magical world and the characters are really funny. The parallels between the cartoon and the real world are amazing.
Shhhhhhhhh… I don’t want to tell you anymore but some advice: If you like Disney’s spirit, Doctor Mac Dreamy (Grey’s Anatomy actor), happiness, fun and songs… It’s the movie for you: Don’t stay in front of your computer, go to the cinema!!!

Movies - Introduction




Joy, tears, screams, love, laughs, fear, amazement… A movie can make you feel all these emotions which is why I love cinema. I like different types of movies: I like a romantic comedy with Hugh Grant making all girls “melt”, as much as I like a Walt Disney cartoon or even a fast moving action film.
The only category of movies that I won’t be giving my opinion on, are horror movies. It is unfortunately a style which frightens me and so I am unable to talk about it. I will let Sophie (on this blog too) speak about this category.
I think that my opinion could be interesting because I’m young, I have seen a lot of movies and I say what I think. Obviously, it’s my personal opinion but I would be delighted to share it with you.

La clé



This is a movie about drugs with, thrown in as the main character, the famous and super cute Guillaume Canet!!!! Watching Canet was the only thing that motivated me to go and watch this movie because, let me tell you, it was not the best movie I had ever seen.

Eric has never met his father. Then someone calls him to give him the man’s ashes. And from this moment on, everything turns upside down, like any drug related movie would.
Eric is involved in a weird story where he is forced to be a dealer…but in fact he is like you and me…a normal person in a normal world…
He will be plunged in a horrible nightmare: crime and suicide will be his daily news. Everything stops, however, when he discovers the truth about his father and about his secret life.

From my point of view this movie is ordinary and predictable: drug, blood and death being the motto of the movie.
All the bad guys disappear and only the handsome one has a wonderful life ahead…
Regarding the actors, the makeup was awful, Thierry Lhermitte and Josianne Balasco look so so old….reality or myth ?

Enfin Veuve !


After “Je vous trouve très beau”, Isabelle Mergault directs “Enfin veuve”, a movie that treats a sensitive subject with lot of humour.
It is in fact a comedy. Michèle Laroque is engaging as a woman with a hectic life: she has a lover and she has a husband she’d like to leave.
With its humoristic dialog, the public can only laugh through the movie – well, at least during the lovable part of Michele Laroque’s life.
Then, the husband dies and the protagonist thinks she is finally free to live her love affair. Everything seems to be going her way. After all, the only thing she had, and will always care about is her lover.
Unfortunately, she had forgotten about her in-laws, who don‘t want to let her live her life. Almost stalking her.
The movie ends on a sad note: the lover leaves to work in China while Laroque’s character finds herself “alone and a window,” as she says.
Here the movie relies on caricature to depict the life of a widow. But we also discover that “widowness” depends on who you are, because loosing a relative can sometimes be a relief… A relief after an impossible love affair, a sickness…
This movie allows us to look at life through rose-tinted glasses, if only for a few hours. It is a pure moment of fun and delightful clumsiness.

They tape on the wall paint some hook, With the following claim:

"Donating your coat won't stop people from sleeping on the streets, but it may stop them from dying on them."

A very good campain. I particulary appreciate the New-Yorkers could participate.

This campain feels very funny and uses a wonderfull second-degree.

This winter, the tendencies are according to the French Vogue Magazine:

- The uniform spirit like for instance, military or school uniforms,

- Fur coats with long hair,

- Oversized scarves and cardigans knitted in giant stitches,

- Tartans and Squares are still in this season,

- Crocodile skin and leather, that becomes softer, more pliable and beautifully cut.

The last Eurostar's buzz

Eurostar lanch a new online ad composed by a un web site : The YPE

The YPE (Your Personnal Experts) idea is a descovery oh the "New London" in the fault of 4 people. Each experts possess a specificity but their common point is to be in London and to expose their own vision of London.

The aim is common but not easy to reach is to revitalize the travel in train Paris/Londres. In this web site, a link permite to go in the official Eurostar site this is the most important aim). Moroever, if you want to participate of this buzz, you should to give your email and/or invite your friends. This process is a good means to enrich the data base (the list of email is optin and very interesting for Eurostar).

The video device of the web site show 4 experts and a "London web TV" compose of 8 movies coming to enrich the contents of the buzz and especially the interest of the concept. For example, a new character come in to play "froggy julie". This character have to aim to verify in London the truthfulness of the comments held on English. This funny video permite to share the buzz between the internauts and this process contribute to viral phenomenon.





The share device is the possibility of asking questions at london experts of London. After, one of experts could to answer with a video. Eurostar saves right to choose the most appropriate questions.


In my opinion, the best idea in this site is the possibility to use Google map for spot the favourite places of each experts.
