Freep' Star

Today, I am going to reveal my secret to find vintage clothes at a very great price… I go to a wonderful second-hand clothing shop, called Free'p'star and located at 8 rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie, and at 61 rue de la verrerie, in the Marais district.

The prices are very competitive and there is quick turn-over on the stocks. Colourful dresses from the 70’s and the 80’s, with all kinds of sleeves, all kinds of form : flounced dresses, some with spots, Chinese dresses... are around 10€. The clothes are carefully suspended on racks.

Besides dresses, you can also find shirts, blouses, pull-over, cardigan and jackets made of leather, suede or velvet. In the mezzanine, there is a great collection of hats, caps, handbags and even travel trunks. In the basement, you will find more dresses, jackets and evan some trousers.

The only problem is that the store is so successful that there is always way too much people for such a small shop. The shop front is so beautiful and a bit retro with its green woodwork. On the inside, the decoration is a bit kitsch with its wooden floor and all the small lamps. You immediately feel like you are at home!

August Rush

He grew up in an orphanage, so he didn't know his parents but he persuaded himself that his parents never wanted to abandon him.
Then he discovers that he has a real talent for music.
Even if he never learnt how to play the guitar when he touches the instrument he is able to play a wonderful sound...
Thinking that his parents are at the origin of his gift, he looks for them among musicians.
He goes through differents "steps" from living on the orphanage, to being homeless, to playing music in the street to earn a living...
He begins to be famous, writing his own musical score that he plays in a concert...and his gift brings his parents together !!
So, at the end of the movie August Rush finds his real parents !

To my mind, this movie was fresh, and when you leave the theater you'll have a big smile on your face, even if the story requires a certain gullibility to be believed !

Omikuji

A practice intended to predict the future, carried out in temples:
1 – In return for a small contribution, pick-up a cylinder containing a small stick.
2 - Shake it, then throw out the stick which you’ll see carries a number.
3 – The number sends you back to a small drawer. Inside there is a paper which tells your future!
4 - The paper has various levels of luck, the most favorable being " daikichi " the lowest being " daikyo ".
To ward off fate, if your luck is bad, you have to tie the paper around a thread or around a tree nearby.

Fugu

The fugu, or fish-moon is a luxurious traditional dish particularly appreciated in Japan. The special feature and the appeal for this fish come from its toxicity. The liver, the ovaries and intestines of this fish contain a neurotoxine. The ingestion of this fish provokes a sudden paralysis of the respiratory and nervous systems.
To add to the charm of this fish-globe, you have to know that there is no antidote!
A fish for people who search for strong sensations!

The movie "SuperGrave"

After "American Pie", "40 years always virgin" and more recently "Pregnant, Instructions for use", here is a new opus so delirious of Teen-Movie.

What is it talking about?

Roughly it’s two buddies (a little bit crazy) that definitely can’t be one without the other one. The intrigue begins with the comeback at the university and the problem it’s that these two inseparable joined two different universities.

The characteristics of 2 characters reflect well the stereotype of the ado a little bit ” flippé” (or not enough). One is rather intelligent and really scared by the life (and especially girls), the other one is obsessed by sex (that arrives at many boys isn’t it? ^ _ ^) and he’s got difficulties to canalize his desire.

In brief you suspect it a little, the film turns around THE first time, this unique night. So exciting and terrifying at the same time, but all our life we remember it.

Useful Buzz

When the "croix rouge" would like to use Internet to make a buzz for a national operation, the buzz become useful ^ _ ^ :

http: // www.robertsenchargera.com

For the small history, Rapp Collins in Paris agreed to unfold a viral site free for the national operation of donations which takes place on May 17th and 18th, 2008.

The site (rather achieved) is composed with cliquables elements in a room :
- Broadcasting of TV spots (of the previous years)
- Viral movies (humoristic)
- Animations games (I was fan of the old mobile game "a snake")
- Dons directly in the web site

The viral implement is especially centered through partnerships on sites with strong audiences as NRJ / Chérie FM / Dailymotion / Ebay.fr / MSN / Laugh and Songs / Nostalgia and Cashstore.fr. Those sites will be able to broadcast humorous flags with animations to make online donations (even small type 2€).

Anyway, good initiative of the "croix rouge" and congratulations to Rapp Collins for a free work.

And to finish a bit of Adriana (yes I know with Robert, Sylvie and so one it's as well ^_^

I like Sushi :-)

Today, I want to have some sushis for my lunch.

So I'm going to talk about an ambiant marketing campaign in several sushi restaurants in London for Japan Airlines.

In each restaurant, you can pick up both sushi and little suitcases (with the price for a flight to Japan written on the labels).

A creative way of getting a message across; without disturbing the given restaurant’s clients in any way!
Why not take a little trip to Japan... maybe you can fit it in between two sushi dinners!

The claim is clear, simple, and atractive.

You like eating sushi?? You'll like eating sushi in Japan with Japan airlines even better.

So now, my real sushi lunch is waiting for me... ;-)

TAKEN

A really good thriller !

Everything starts in the US, where an under-aged teenager, who really wants to go to Europe to follow the U2 concert, lies to her father, pretending she is going to Paris to visit a famous Museum.

Her father, who used to be a bodyguard, hesitates but the daughter neefs his agreement to go outside the country.

Finally he gives his "YES" and everyone is so excited !!

But the trip will not go as planned...

Once in Paris, someone at the airport suggests sharing a taxi "because in P aris, Taxis are so expensive". At this point, the story becomes a real nightmare !

The daughter is kidnapped by a gang involved in human trafficking. She just has time to call her father and to gve him some details about her kidnapper : tatoo, moon, star, beard...

The father has 96 hours to find his daughter or he will lose her forever.

Throughout the movie, the spectator is sharing the experience of the main character : anxiety, fear, violence...

It is a really good movie, talking about a hard subject - human trafficking with prostitution and drugs.
Kidnapping a foreign woman and obliging her to prostitue herself thanks to drugs isn't as far from reality because it happens everyday.

In my opinion, it was a really good thriller, one that i have been waiting for a long time.
A thriller that goes behind the scenes of a terrifying subject.

Raise the foot

Hye everybody,

I would like to talk about street danger !!!

We are all concerned about car accidents.
Every day we see a crash, or hear about it on the news !!!
The road is dangerous, we have to slow down and drive carrefully.

In this picture you can see the beautiful work of Saatchi and Saatchi in Sidney.
A monumental painting where we can read "DON'T SPEED" like a zebra jailed.
The inhabitants of sidney have been warned, they have to slow down if they don't want to end up in prison.

A grass car in the street !!

Everybody talking about "green washing"...!!!!

Today, ecology is becoming more and more important !! Every one wants to keep the planet clean for future generations.
So, in this way, a lot of car, oil, petrol, restoration, technology (...) brands are creating green marketing campaigns to have a better image. To show their motivation about respecting our planet !!!

Sony Australia has committed to offsetting all carbon emissions caused by their corporate travel. To celebrate this and their ongoing partnership with Landcare Australia, Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney created a grass car that was built from the ground up.

The car was parked around various public locations in Sydney to show the importance of being a responsible corporate citizen and to encourage other organisations to follow.

We can see in the pictures that people can participate in the grass car evolution (this action responsiblizes every one)

IKEA street marketing in Japan

IKEA Japan decided to promote the opening of a new store in Kobe. This store is situated on Port Island, an artificial island connected to the city by a monorail. Inspired by the patterns of the Finnish textile company Marimeko the furniture chain developed a creative concept to advertise the opening of this new store:
The train will look like this until May 6. This is quite long for an advert of this kind.... The train’s interior has also been embellished with IKEA products and a blog has been created to document the opening of the store.
When I see this campaign, I’m thinking about IKEA in New York when the brand decorated bus stops, phone booths and park benches to show that with its products you can create a homey feeling anywhere. !!!

La Vallée Village

Because the best shopping places are not necessarily in Paris, I would like to write about a fabulous place located just next to Disneyland Resort Paris, in Marne-la-Vallée.

This fabulous place is named “La Vallée Village” due to the fact that it is open to the sky with each store designed as a house.

First of all, this place is incredible because it is open 7 days a week and because it gathers more than 85 French and international brands in fashion and decoration, such as Antik Batik, Armani, Burberry, Cacharel, Calvin Klein, Céline, Christian Lacroix, Comptoir des Cotonniers, D&G, Diesel, Givenchy, Kenzo, Lamarthe, Lancel, Longchamp, Max Mara, Mexx, Paul Smith, Pepe Jeans, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sandro, Timberland, Tommy Hilfiger, Zadig & Voltaire… and so many others.

In “La Vallée Village” you can find clothes for women, men and children as well as travel goods, accessories, home design and jewellery.

Now the most interesting thing is of course the price…

The prices are reduced by a minimum of 33% compared to the price of the original collections. The question you may ask is: how is it possible? Actually, it is possible because in “La Vallée Village”, you will only find clothes from the previous collections. So if you are not too fashion to wear last year's collections, you will definitely appreciate this place.

Otherwise, you can still go to buy basics as they will never go out of fashion.

The little plus

Beginning May 5th, “La vallée village” will launch a personal stylist service. With this brand new service, you will have access to personal recommendations about what colour, what cut or what material fits you best. With this, you are sure to find the clothes that are perfect for you.
